I'm currently evaluating the trial version of the SDK and I'm really liking a lot of what you have with the product, but there are also a few things that I'm having some issues with.
One, would you be willing to modify to the WPF version of the control to make the properties dependency properties? It would be nice to be able to do data binding with the properties rather than have to manually set values on the control.
Second, the text selection with the mouse seems to only work some of the time. In a PDF that has more of a magazine layout, text is not being selected in instances where the text is on top of an image or if it is in a separate column on the page. (I can send a sample PDF if that helps with diagnosing the issue.)
Third, it would be nice to have a function (or a dependency property, or both) that would allow a string to be used to highlight instances of the string in the document.
Thanks for your consideration and your nice work on the product.

Yes, we have such plans. I could enforce their implementation if you're providing a list of properties which has the highest priority for you. Please send this file and issue description to support(at)patagames.com Originally Posted by: indigophoenix Third, it would be nice to have a function (or a dependency property, or both) that would allow a string to be used to highlight instances of the string in the document.
You can easily implement it yourself by writing the following code Code:
public void HighlightText(string text)
{
int cnt = pdfViewer1.Document.Pages.Count;
for (int i = 0; i < cnt; i++)
{
var found = pdfViewer1.Document.Pages[i].Text.Find(text, Patagames.Pdf.Enums.FindFlags.MatchWholeWord, 0);
if (found == null)
continue;
do
{
pdfViewer1.HighlightText(i, found.CharIndex, found.CharsCount, Color.Yellow);
} while (found.FindNext());
}
}

Yes, we have such plans. I could enforce their implementation if you're providing a list of properties which has the highest priority for you. The property that would have the highest priority for me would be the Document property. Other things that would be nice-to-haves would be a HighlightText property and a SelectedText property that would allow for setting the selected text and setting text to highlight in the document. Please send this file and issue description to support(at)patagames.com I'm guessing the second issue is fixed Please see more details here: http://forum.patagames.c...-on-Aug-26--2016#post502 Tried the new release and that went a long way to helping with the issue. Thanks! There is still one PDF with which there is a little trouble. I just sent it to the support email with a description of the issue. Thanks, Paul. That code did the trick! Edited by user Friday, August 26, 2016 6:25:17 AM(UTC)
