Hi,
set a numeric field to a negative value don't work.
Tage the attachtes pdf and this code:

PdfDocument doc = this.pdfViewer1.Document;
PdfInteractiveForms iforms = doc.FormFill.InterForm;
PdfField field = iforms.Fields.First(x => x.FullName == "PosField");
field.Value = "123";
field = iforms.Fields.First(x => x.FullName == "NegField");
field.Value = "-123"; Positive.pdf (35kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

Could you please provide your test app (full MSVC solution including all patagames assemblies and PDF file you are openning)
