Hello.

We have found in our usage of the WPF PDF viewer that when we have multi-line text and we try to copy and paste that into another text editor (like Word) that the places where the PDF wraps the words of the paragraph to the next line show up as line breaks when pasted. There is an application called PDF-XChange Editor that has a context menu option for Copy as Rich Text which does give word wrapping rather than line breaks when pasted. Does this functionality exist for the Pdfium WPF viewer?

Thanks in advance for the reply and for all your work on this product!

Hello,

Could you provide an example?
What do you expect and what do you actually get.

Hello,

We are facing the same situation mentioned. I have this PDF being previewed using PDFium in our WPF application:

pdfpreviewed.png

However, this is what happens when we copy the text and paste it into Word for example:

imageInWord.png

As you can see the PDF wraps the words of the paragraph to the next line which shows up as line breaks when pasted. Basically, a paragraph is added at the end of each line. This does not happen if you use Adobe Acrobat Reader or PDF-XChange (which as mentioned has the option to copy as rich text not causing this issue). As asked, does this functionality exist for the Pdfium WPF viewer?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the long delayed response, I did not see the reply until coming to report a separate issue. However, since seeing it, here is an example: Contrary to popular belief.pdf (28kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

I would expect that the when copying and pasting, line breaks would only occur at paragraph boundaries, not at the end of every visual line (much like if you were copying the text from Microsoft Word or Notepad).

However, what I get is line breaks at the end of every line of text. It matches the visual of the PDF, but not the flow of the underlying content. Hope that helps!
